CASE STUDY

Better service life for de-dusters

De-dusting Fans were used at ArcelorMittal Contrecoeur. Because of hostile conditions, those fans had a service life of about four to eight months. Metallitech had the challenge to increase the service life of those equipment without affecting their efficiency.

Using arc welding and coating processes, our team of experts was able to increase the life span of the de-dusters for up to 2 years. Furthermore, instead of having to replace the de-dusters, we could simply apply a new coating, such that the equipment could gain another 2 years in production. This way ArcelorMittal was able to maximize the life of its equipment.
